This peplum top merges nostalgic strawberry embroidery with structured smocking for a piece that reads both playful and artisan. The white cotton muslin ground lets the red-and-green motifs pop, while the cross-stitch smocking adds a second handcraft layer to the bodice.
The bodice features multi-row smocking with decorative cross-stitch overlay in red and olive threads — not just functional shirring, but an ornamental technique that adds color and pattern. Each strawberry is individually embroidered in padded satin stitch.
